1. Delphic – Mancunians (not that that should matter but hey, let’s be honest – it often does…). Two great singles out (This momentary, Counterpoint). CD release date: 2010

Interesting story line (I get so tired now of the predictable, already covered angle of a film). This angle’s quirky, as is the story line, the actings very good, it’s humourous, has good range of emotions covered and you can even bring a guy! (though it’s still leans girl moreso).

But BEST IV AL (that’s my new pun now these days tiill i go!) ….

it’s got some great british music running through it. Hey! when was the last time YOU heard the Doves playing while you watched a movie?? F. Then some Smiths, Mumm-ra (who broken up last yr … hmmhad they only waited one more year…). Plus there’s other great stuff by Black Kids, Feist, Wolfmother..etc.. all very well fitting tunes. Impressed. Good job movie music picker. I salute you!

oh, i guess `they were cute`, `well that was kind of entertaining..those kook boyz`.

meanwhile, having interviewed and see them twice (virgin & NJ) last month – where they put on GREAT shows, i was asking myself – where’s the sexy emitting bit luke always effervesces (is that even a word?) and where oh WHERE is hugh’s hat and since WHEN does a drummer wear a freakin’ suit – let alone an uk indie band drummer?? pul-eze.

last but not least, i miss dan – their last bassist. i don’t know much about the new guy – i do know they’re rotating thru bassists since their original left for drug (i didn’t say that!) reasons – but the new guy – well…he looked new. and a bit lost. dan (who`s also in some english band called cat the something – cant remember right now) showed when i interviewed him and hugh that he was intelligent, polite, cool, and he was sober! (what a nass-ty combination for a band member in a relatively successful uk indie band! and to top it off, he`s a damn good bassist and looked the part. i`ve sometimes wondered why he’s gone and being human i must `fill that blank` with an answer and the best one that comes up is that he was TOO good. in alot of ways. ‘nuf said.

so boys, ask dan to come back and be yourselves no matter who you play to or for – and not the uncomfortable looking bunch you were tonight (though luke you did give it your best try but your best is, ironically, when you don’t…) …and make me proud to run an all uk indie show promoting guys (and girls) like you’z.

…and oh yeah, i think the word i was trying to think of earlier about luke was..emits. yeah, no wait – exudes. yeah. ok g`night.
