In no particular order…to be updated whenever i feel like it!

Male Bonding – Endless Now (aug)

Friendly Fires – Pala
– apart from having the most beautiful cover art album for 2011, they score for writing, producing an album of neo 80s music, without having it sound cheesy “80s” – a feat many artists haven’t achieved in this year of the retro 80s

Toddla T – Watch me Dance (Jul)
– the next Mark Ronson. Tracks mix hip hop, raggae, funk, techno, pop. Well done versions of many genres & great vocals.

The Words – Truth & Faith

The Foxes – Last of Many (Dec)
– straightforward but well-done pop. Consistent (like 1 track, like em all)

New Manhatten – Demo EP (Jul)
– the new Strokes

Metronomy – French Riviera
– the new Steely Dan ! and should’ve won the 2011 Mercury Prize. smooth

Does it Offend you Yeah – Don’t say we didnt warn you
– non mainstream but if you like 1 tune you’ll like whole CD

Prince Edward Island – This day is a good enough day (Aug)
– sarcastic Art Brut meets Glasvegas Scots meets Moz

The Horrors – Skying (Jul)
– should be shortlisted for 2012 Mercury

The Vaccines – What did you expect from the Vaccines? (Mar)
– Punk

Velcro Brothers – A Helpin Hand (Feb)
– funk
