White Lies is a 3 piece indie rock band from Ealing, London.
Their debut CD To Lose My Life, opened at #1 on the UK album charts in Jan09. The N. American release followed in March.
The 4 singles (to date) are Unfinished business, Death, Farewell to the fairground, To lose my life.
I interviewed the songwriter and bassist Charles Cave. We discuss the controversial (yet enticing!) lyrics, about what inspires Charles to write what he does, why they get criticized for it & how it says about youth of today, their genre, forecasting the UK music scene, life on the biggg tour bus, what the band is like off stage, and working on CD #2 (Yes! there Will be one!)
1st question though.. impressions of their performance on a ‘certain’ U.S. late night talk show…
