Week of Dec 12th, saw “This is England” – a film on 80s northern England life. Story of a fatherless 12y.o. boy, somewhat rejected by school mates, living with a clueless mother, is taken a liking to by small time skinheads, and moves on to bigger time skinheads. These experiences make him mature faster than you would even think losing his army father to the Falkland War could produce. Worthwhile if interested in a glimpse of 80s British (sub)culture.
